Who's riding shotgun in that pic Dave?

Thanks for the link, great pics.

So my mom is visiting here from PA; she watched my kids when I was Land Cruiser camping with my internet friends.

(looking at Barney in the group shot)

Mom: "Is that your truck? It looks so...nice? It must have been a far away shot."

It was great to see you all again and meeting some new faces... My boys and I had a blast, as always. seeing all those 40's inspired me to get mine back together by next year's RO.

I must admit, the 40s are fun. One of them did almost everything in 3 wheel drive. Very impressive.

I added a metric file to the tool kit now. Did anyone write down Marlin’s direction on how to use?;). Never thought this would come in handy until this weekend

I think you place it on the tip of the bolt and make a upward/downward motion or a side to side motion until you achieve the desired effect. At least that's what I observed from all the grinning faces of the on lookers. You have to make sure you rub it evenly around the bolt.

Just lay the good threads in the gaps of file to find the right thread pitch you are working with, the thread crowns should lay into the openings up and down to bolt you are working. Once you have the right pitch on the file matched to the bolt you just start working your way around to remove any section that's buggered up

Maybe that’s what he was drawing in the dirt. Anyone get a photo of that?
