SO I finally received the unit today. It had minor damage when I got it but nothing serious. The trim piece on top had fallen off. The unit is constructed with a lot of metal and aluminum. There is no plastic at all. Pretty solid overall. No instructions came with the unit as I anticipated. There is a empty metal box that came with the unit and I have no idea what it's for. I'll be installing it today and give you guys some feedback.

I think I know what the empty box is for. I believe you have to install the climate control board inside the box.

I started the install today. It WAS pretty straightforward for a while. Most of the connectors are labelled and are plug and play. So far I have the following.

1. Very responsive touch screen
2. Android interface. Essentially the system is split into two systems. The stock system until you press the home button gets to you the android interface. The stock system shows the standard radio stuff, climate control, trip meter, etc... You lose on the maintenance reminders.
3. Steering wheel controls work fine.
4. Radio works fine except it does not find every station as I am sure it has a Euro tuner installed. I don't care too much about this.
5. In order for the factory CD changer to work, you have to route a cable to it which I have not gotten to.
6. Need to test REAR cam still.
7. System has a WIFI antenna. Once connected to WIFI, you have internet access.
8. System is GPS antenna as well.

Now the problem. Although I can see the climate control screen, it does not work. I cannot get the fan to turn on at all. I hope this is fixable by the company.

There are three left over connectors where the original touchscreen went.

There is a metal box that I have no idea what it's for.

I did a screen grab off the install video and it looks like there's one more box is in their console compared to yours.

No, you lose the security light with temp display. The temp display is integrated into the display

Ok, now I know what they did. They remove the circuit board off the back of the original display, stuffed it into the metal box, and plugged everything in. I tested the circuit board alone. The climate works now. The only issue is when I adjust the temp, the number on the screen does not change. I am assuming they modify that circuit board or bridge some wire or something to make it work. I am waiting on a reply. Also, the metal box they sent me is not the same as the one in the video. I need the one off the video to make the board fit perfectly.

I still need to check rear camera and figure out why no sound is coming when using the android system. For instance, when you play a mp3, you can hear a relay click but no sound.
