LC200 price drop next year

I can’t see them appreciating, and I don’t expect them to stay priced this high. I replaced my 2016 with a low mileage 2021 and paid through the nose for it. I have zero intentions of preserving it for the next guy. I will pile 25-30k miles a year on it until fuel is unaffordable for me and love every road trip and adventure. My 2016 was a test and I quickly decided there was nothing else on the market that checked all the boxes for me.
 
Whichever way the market goes, don't be this guy taking a $17k loss in little over a year.

That's the old days, its not 2018 anymore... a new Corolla or Civic in top trim is now pushing $50k and even then, one might not get one.

The situatuon with the lx 600 reminds of the situation of the lc 200 before the overland craze.

id be willing to bet alot of tacoma/4runner (and potential new to LC - 250 owners) dont even realise that the 600 is a 300(310) & now more than ever with the 250s looking more eye catching and retro it would also make people less likely to get the 600 in the US..in addition to pricing.


I'd imagine a few years down the line some used ones will prove to be a nice upgrade for someone looking into one vs a late model 200 for example.

My main issue with the LX 600 is I believe it can be way more luxurious inside for its price. I hope they fix that in the next facelift.

It drives beautifully but other than being based of the LC300 it doesn't seem to do the lexus part good enough and seems to be overshadowed luxury wise by many of its rivals. It feels more Toyota premium than one of the Lexus flagship products.

To be honest even the GX interior seems lacking but it gets a pass since it looks "offroady".

From personal experience
The most durable LC 200 interior that ages well
Is the 2012(3)_2015 interior.


Most of my experience has been with the beige interior though and cloth seats.
Cloth LC seats mostly always age well regardless of model year.



The earlier/later 200s in some trims had wood trim discoluration issues in some years/ various trim getting scratched and discolured and Steering wheels that shine get damaged really quick but the rest seems ok.

The LX 570 leather if not taken care of quickly ages. An lx 570 that hasn't been taken care of can look terrible inside.

300 interiors seem to be wearing better with the exception of steering wheels that get shiny super quickly.
Leather on the 300s seems better I think it's not real leather that's why. I've seen some high mileage 300s already without any wrinkling seats.


Honestly with LC it's a hit and miss
Just depends on what the Toyota parts bin of the era is like. Some specific years are just naturally better than others.

I finally dove a new LX600. It is terrible…. Even more bland than the 200, even more dated tech, even more dated everything. They didn’t build it for the enthusiasts, and didn’t come close to comparing with the rest of the market.

I would’t do a straight up trade a LX600 for my ‘13 LX with 105k miles.

With Navy Federal they were offering as low as 5.84% 61-72 months. 5.74% for 37-60 months. Haven’t looked at USAA yet. I got time won’t be home till December. I saw this one online at a dealership 2019 with 40k miles total 65,995. Has the entertainment system in the back.

Yes true. Will I ever tow 8100 pound’s probably not 😂. Will I go off road and over-landing. Yes. Do plan on going through trails, road trips, all around everyday car. Tow the sport car to events and knowing i own a well built machine. That won’t leave me stranded off road or on the side of the road.

True. I’m just waging my options. Example just like the Supra. What last year people dropping 6 figures now the market has dropped/leveled out some. Turbo manuals for $60-70k or cheaper depending how you look.

Just sharing another opinion.
I own a 2014 lx 570 which and a 2023 LC 300 GX ( GX is the most basic version )
I prefer driving the 300.
Better seating position, better to daily drive, better handling, better handling off road, more capable off road, better brakes, the list can go on.

I won't compare luxury obviously as one is the highest spec 200 series..a Lexus, and the other is the most basic 300 series available (Toyota).

Not only that but it's even more capable off road thanks to the triple lockers. So we have very different perspectives.
I know you drove an LX but ultimately it still is a 300 (310 to be more specific).

I do hate the LX 600 interior though. Just not a fan of that center stack.

In the end people have different preferences.

Also in terms of looks I think it is subjective but a built LC300/LX600 looks far better than any 200 to me.
I might not have many people here who agree with me since I am saying this in the 200 section but I think the 200 series LC is way more bland than a 300 series LC even in stock form, not that we buy them for looks anyway.

The 300 is far from perfect and I can list many things that I don't like and it is still in its early days with a few things yet to be sorted out. At the end of the day for both of them the pros outweigh the cons.

Good perspective. It would be a different story if we could get more basic trim 300 LCs here in the US. For us with only option of the 300 being the LX600 is why I felt the way I do.

and at $92K that is not too far from where a LC300 would be priced if we had it here, considering the last few 200s listed for nearly $90k
