Spent the weekend driving this. Any comments/questions anyone would like me to include in my review?

How noisy is the roof rack? The Lexus one on the GX has constant noise above 45mph. thx

Good question, I'll cover it in the review. It's pretty quiet as far as roof racks go in my opinion, but far from silent and definitely makes some noise especially in crosswinds.

Ran across this one at the local dealership in Colorado Springs. The dealership indicated that the lift was from Westcott Designs. I will say a bit a lift and tires sure changes the appearance in a good way. View attachment 3726728View attachment 3726729View attachment 3726730View attachment 3726731View attachment 3726732
That is waaaay to much poke on this wheel/tire combo. Can't imagine how there isn't going to be serious damage, if you actually go off-roading on these and flex them inside the wells. Also rock chips galore in the paint. Looks like one of those "appearance packages" to go straight from the dealer to the mall.

There have been some pretty cringeworthy wheel/tire/lift combos on the prado twins. People have no taste. lol

Whenever I hear ill-fitting tires described as "poke" I always picture the person saying it as some flat-billed yo-boy from the west coast. It's so cringy.

I came across a post elsewhere where the poster has excessive "poke" with his ill-fitting wheel/tire combo and now he's looking to add mud guards and fender flares to his GX to stop all the dirt and mud getting slung down the side. Ironically the tires are the same height as stock. What a colossal waste.

Hahaha...hey, you know that is how technical/industry terms are born.

But it's the the "thing" to do now on a vehicle 🤣

Truly terrible, will never understand the point.

I have 18 inch wheels and been looking at all possible sizes trying to add some diameter without the width and the options are really limited for 18". It seems 17" wheels open up so many more options. Is this true or am I missing something? And why? Just due to 17 being more off-road typical and therefore the need for more size variability?

17's are more better

In Japan on a business trip and spotted at the hotel in Kanazawa that I'm staying at.

cheers,
george.

Got it home and had to get a photo next to her older cousin. Wheels and tires ordered, hopefully here before it goes in for PPF at the end of the week.
