For Sale - SoCal: pair of OE 1978 shoulder harness belts
Tags say 1978 front. I'm thinking 1978 was a split year, where the first half of the year had black webbing, the second half grey. I vaguely remember something changed mid-year with the jumpeats as well. They have been stored indoors here for the last 30 years $200 plus the ride from Burbank...

I have one but not sure what side it is unless they are the same between the passenger side and drivers.
Driver side has a shorter bar that holds the should attachment higher than the passenger side. The passenger side bar is longer.

This is what I have.
I only have one, from a 1979 US model fj40--pics are attached. It is faded with a little wear on belt but tag is still intact

I have this set. I pulled them from the same rollbar. I don't have the other ends. The extended one with the vise grip holding the belt from retracting has a tear in the belt, the ratchet works and is dated 1978. The other ones ratchet is stuck. I pulled on it and it did move slightly. It doesn't appear to be too rusted. I think it might be the mechanism. idk. The belt that's exposed looks good but faded.
Yes, 1978 and earlier are black. 1979 and newer are light gray.

Recall that Safety Restore (in Massachusetts) can re-web these seat belts, or at least they did in the past.
