He says its swelling like a baseball so he prob. can't drive but is planning on going. I hope he's right. Good Luck Marshall!

Wow! Sorry to hear that he can't drive for MLK. ouch

If he only had an 80, Hope its not broken.

Good news it just a really bad sprain. Got back from ER and no broken bones. I cannot put any pressure on it for at least 2 weeks. So I will be at Tellico with crutches and limited mobility. But I will be there. I will now need lots of help on food. But we will work it out. Thank god it's not broken.

Just so you know how I did it. I fell of the front porch going out to get the radios out of the pig for Tellico. It was at the top of my list. LOL Lots of pain right now but I should be okay.

Thank goodness for all that calcium in beer....it's good to know that you have strong bones....I'd of hated to have to strap your ass to the roof rack to get you to tellico...hmmm where was secret service to protect el presidente from his fall last night....hmm we need an internal investigation into this.....heads are going to roll for this.....

So we won't be able to sit on our collective backsides this year while you prepare all the meals?

Delighted its not broken. JP may be right

Glad it's not broken, Marshall. Let me know how I can help with the food. I still have to make a final grocery run.

Marshall,

A little medical advice: do exactly what your doctor tells you on this one. I had a severe sprain 10 years ago while running (when I was about your age) and because I did not do what K9Crazy said, RICE, I am still suffering. That inflamation you are now experiencing can result in internal scarring if you don't stay off the ankle; for some, this can result in a synovial impingement. My ankle now clicks with every step and I occasionally get sharp pains requiring shots of Wild Turkey.

So, definitely RICE is the ticket, use that crutch, and stay off that ankle.

I think he should get a pegleg...how cool would that be?

I'll bring ya a pirate hat! :)
