Lapter Fender Flares - Anyone Interested?

So I came across these fender flares on Ebay. I checked and couldn't find a single mention of them on this forum.

Part of me likes them, part of me still isn't convinced yet. (I took my stock ones off because the PO had literally screwed them on)

I've emailed them (they are in Russia) and they said that if there are 7+ orders they will do 20% off. They also said that shipping is $100 (on ebay its $250). So total would be about $280 shipped.

So... is anyone interested?

They are a fairly new product so there is no official installation manual. They sent me one from a similar vehicle. It's in russian but you can at least look at the pictures

I don't think any cutting is required for the 80 series. But looks like you do have to drill holes for all the screws to hold it on.

Look up pocket style fender flares on here. That particular brand hasn't been covered that I know of, but pocket flares have. And the pictures didn't look like cutting is involved, however there is quite a bit of drilling involved. And you also have to buy a NutSert tool on top of the flare cost.

not sure if I will pay full price. im on the fence because I've got 5 million other things to buy. But if 6 people want to jump in I will jump in as well.

you also have to buy a NutSert tool on top of the flare cost.

Not sure his brand, never was into intentionally putting on flares.

I bought some similar to that and the fit was terrible. just be ready to trim and twist to get them on right.

good catch, didnt think to check alibaba. So these Russian guys (Lapter) must be importing from China.

I bought some similar to that and the fit was terrible. just be ready to trim and twist to get them on right.

If ordered from Lapter, it's $280 shipped (only if 7+ people get in on it)

BUT, if you see @SUMMIT CRUISERS post above it looks like all this stuff just comes from China. So honestly I think you could just order from one of the manufacturers there but you'd have to get another person to do it with you. (some do a minimum order of 2, others it's even higher. Alibaba is a site for bulk manufacturing stuff from China). I'd guess you could get a set for about $100-$150 shipped that way.

I just did a trip with a guy (pictured) that had the pocket flares on his 80 from the PO. I liked the look but the fitment on the rear flare where it meets the rear door (only one side) did not fit well. With that said if enough positive pictures were available I would risk buying a set.
