A Pleasant Grove man who owns a business that sells rare 4x4 vehicles is now facing criminal charges alleging that he was paid for three vehicles and then disappeared without delivering the cars.

Steven James Jackson, 46, was charged Tuesday in 4th District Court with three counts of communications fraud and three counts of theft by deception, second-degree felonies.

Yikes!

Oh wow!!!

Website is shut down…

Isn’t Land Cruiser Heritage Museum where CruiserDan works?

Why are we using the word “arrested”. That doesn’t sound accurate.
Yeah, sounds like they don't know where he is....

As of Wednesday, Jackson has failed to deliver these vehicles and he stopped communicating with investigators as of Oct. 4, the charges state.

"Numerous attempts by the complainant and the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division to contact Mr. Jackson in an attempt to seek a resolution/ ship date have been unsuccessful," prosecutors noted in charging documents. "Mr. Jackson has become unresponsive to the officer's communications … and his current residence is unknown."

If he had been arrested, they would be pretty certain of his residence :)

He’s posting on Facebook…

Yep, clearly hasn’t hired the best legal counsel yet.

Suckbook is soooooo good for drama and hate.

That is a dumbass thing for him to do though, I am sure it will be used as evidence.

Cheers
A post like that is not what a business should broadcast🤦‍♂️

Right. I was trying out suckbook for a short time just to connect with two different land cruiser groups but decided it wasn't for me and closed the account just recently after a few months. I have now realized the local to me cruiser scene is pretty exclusionary anyways so there was no point.

Anyways, it looks like Steve has a long ways to go to get things back in order. As I said before, he was great to deal with so it is sad to see this happen.

Better call Saul.

Looks like Steve Jackson (Landcruisers direct) got picked up and is facing a whole mess of felonies.

Here is his mugshot (all of this is publicly available online… not trying to dox him, just spreading the word, as he was still taking on new “clients” (victims) as recently as earlier this year (allegedly))

Interesting. I spoke with Steve multiple times 2 years ago to import a diesel LC but each time he basically trashed where was targeting and what cruisers they had to the point after each call my ending thought was "I guess I'll burn my 30k somewhere else."
