I think what Onur is trying to say, the 55 was a step outside the toyota box. It was a move to get the entire family out. Toyota normally takes the path of test for years then incorporate into vehicles proven. The 5.7 tundra motor was tested for almost 10 yrs before it was used in a production vehicle. I met Dr Toyoda yrs ago. My boss jim Moran had him on the yacht with us in st. Barths. Toyota wouldn't even bring the mini truck over. Toyota thought it would fail because of the big 3. The truck succeeded and pushed Toyota to the next level.

Thanks man. I have to get the little stuff right because @Texican will pick it apart at the Roundup.....

I should have this thing out of here by the first of March. I’m waiting to steal Lous motor a little closer to when Cam has his Cop motor ready. I’m pretty much done until I get the motor pulled.
tell me about the cop motor

The Limo project is back after a week off.

@under_psi made a final drive up today and we broke this 2F loose out of the Milk Jug. His truck is getting a Cop motor and this perfect runner is about to get cleaned up with new gaskets and such and go into the Limo

Full cop is what?

2F bored to 4.4 liter, custom cam, bad ass head with LS valves

I have one in my Pig and it’s unreal. We estimate based on the dyno run we have 220 HP at the crank

Lou and @WharfRat cleared out at about 2 and I got to work taking the drivetrain apart and making a big ole pile for Powder Keg.

My son dragged me backwards to the equipment shed in the Milk Jug so I had room to work

I got the trans/tranny off easily with the floor style tranny jack

Next I pushed it all to the door and got the last of the fluids out

Final thing was to get the block clean real good before I take it the rest of the way apart

Nice D3. Starting to look for something used around that size.

By the way, why are you calling it a cop motor? Is that an acronym or are you calling it that because it's like a souped up police car engine? Just curious.
