Seat belts came in from Safety Restore. I sent in the hardware and old straps. They put in new webbing and transferred the original seat belt tags to the new webbing. Really cool work. So now I have factory seatbelt hardware and tags with new webbing. Just another little thing that keeps the Limo as factory correct as possible.

Scrape. Wire wheel. Brake cleaner. Paint.

Repeat.

If I was a Colombian I would have just slapped some paint on and stuffed it back in the Limo but that’s not what I do here.

The powder place was s*** down all last week but I’m hoping they take pity on me and turn my pile so I can put this master gasket kit and all these Metric Overland JIS stainless bolts to work.

Yanked out the Chinese pilot bearing and added a new rear main seal

Cleaned up the head gasket surface real smooth and dropped it into place. Reminded me of the time @FJ60Cam had a customer with the gasket on backwards.
This tool is clutch.

Got the motor at TDC in the exhaust stroke before I dropped the head on

Lined it all up and broke out a couple torque wrenches and went to work in sequence. Last I got a cold valve adjustment done.

So did you send the trans/t-case out to Georg in Cali? Or is he building a new one to ship to Mississippi? If the former, how did you ship it?

Was at my friend’s shop yesterday (he’s the only other person I’ve ever let wrench on my 45, and will be doing the A/C and then any other heavy lifting on the Limo) and he had this on the lift. Thought it was fitting to post here.
