Knuckle surprise. Need help asap (1 Viewer)

So I pulled the other side apart and found that @redrock is correct and that it was just another seal that sits in the housing. So got everything cleaned all up and have the passenger side installed and put back together but I while installing the driver side lower triuin bearing I didn't have things lined up right and went through 4 bearings sooo now I have to wait for the morning to get more bearings and races. Also I did find the part number for the cap if it comes down to that because it's all scared up and mushroomed out. Also how long does this Job take you guys? I am at about like 18 hours from start to now. Also my fiance decided to roll up her seelvaes and help me out and she did awesome but doesn't believe me when I told her it needs more Grease because she put a thin layer on.

What happened there, how familiar are you with LC knuckles?

Did your drive the race into position to seat it? The sound will change when it bottoms out. like, clunk, clunk, clunk...chink.

I have done the knuckles once before but like 5 years ago. And yes when I drove the race in I heard the noise change.
