We got 19 of the little bastards tonight. At least five or so were able to creep back out of reach of my mighty pliers

Dump the pliers get on board with the Brakleen and none of them will get away. Hell you dont even need to bend over to hit them. When you spray they will jump around alot and some still run but they will die in about 2 minutes, from my testing.

Pretty soon you will start to think like a scorpion and even the smart ones will find it hard to hide.

The wife had some hesitations, but wanted the pictures too.

I caught 7 and another mutha last night. She was carrying atleast 11 on her back. Round one tonight yielded 7, front and backyard. In round two, I scored a TD and a vengeful two point conversion just in the back. Including the babies, that makes about 75 since last weekend. BTW, the babies don't glow yet.

I'm starting to think I have a problem. Maybe I'm the only one who isn't spraying?

I had visions of rigging some kind of battle vest for the ocassion. Something that could carry a few lights, a few jars, a can of Brakleen and multiple pliers for various retrievals.

The kids cling to the thought that I'm not actually killing them by flushing them. As if they have some kind of chance in the sewer. If it keeps them happy, and me entertained, then why not.

The wife had premonition about the girls in therapy talking about how their fondest memories are of going scorpion hunting as a family. I'm going to order them their own black lights. I wonder if I can get another one for myself on a head strap. I wouldn't have to keep setting the jelly jar down that way.

Scored 7 this weekend, plus a bonus. Two in the house, the other five in the shop. (Why can't I find any outside this time of year?).

These are the ones that didn't run off screaming from the brakleen. I have found if you step of the claws, and slowly roll your foot to the back, all their guts squirt out the tail.

I just walked the house and fence line and caught five out of the six that I saw. That's the most we've seen in one night in about a week and a half. It's usually just one or two a night now with the two or so in the house per week. I guess I'm still making a dent

Brakecleen is fun. Try it with a lighter. Burns the legs off so they can't run. Then you can watch them die. Works for those bumble bees and wasps too. Flash fire melts the wings. They crash like a chopper with a broken rotor. Very gratifying!

Update:

Due to the success of last season's campaign, this season's harvest has yielded a significantly lower number of enemy casualties. None of the enemy have breached the interior of HQ, with only a few sentries spotted along the border walls and then subsequently terminated. A side effect of last year's efforts has been an increase in the Black Widow population. Again, none have breached the interior of HQ, but some have been so daring as to take strategic positions near entry ways. A "Strike First" approach has been implemented. The weapon of choice for this battle is carb cleaner.
