I posted a thread a while back with ? regarding OBA. I was lead to purchase a York. Its all cleaned up and I am ready to start my install but have lots of ?. The alternator is on Drivers side and battery tray on right so if anyone has pic's of installs they have done and any tech as far as manifolds/oil seperators & good bracket source. Thanks for the site and all of the help.

Howdy! There are a lot of different ways to fab up brackets to make this work. If you want to simplify the setup by using factory A/C brackets, they are usually on the DS, so you could move the alternator to the PS with factory brackets. I built up a mounting plate that hangs on the A/C mounts on the exhaust manifold. I made the adjuster rod by slotting out one end of a peice of 3/4" angle. Pretty easy to do. I added a Kilby air intake filter. I recommend a 3-5 gallon holding tank, but it is not mandatory. I used a regular air compressor control switch, set at 80 on, and 100 off. John

How did/what type of fittings did you use? So, I can move the Alt. no problem, did you use a serpentine set-up or double pulley on the Crank/water pump?

Thanks for the info on Kilby

Regarding oilers and filters-

I did this mod and do not find it necessary to run a filter. Still get a little oil out, but a little oil in the lines doesn't hurt anything.

Make sure you run a check valve like the one at the top of Catalog pg 462 at McMaster-Carr right after the output of your york. Otherwise you will lose pressure through the valves in the York

Kilby has everything, however convenience comes with a price. I pieced together my setup from mcmaster and homemade bits 6 years ago and it has not failed once. I do not have a tank, and use it to operate my ARB locker. Once engaged I can leave the locker on all day without the compressor cycling.

Properly set up, you should get years of trouble-free service out of your York. One of the best mods I have done to any Land Cruiser.

You can see the guts of my setup in the picture below. The mounting on my F will not apply to your 350 (that is a GM Alt-"12si"). Excuse the wiring nastiness, picture was taken before everything was back in order after installing the alternator.

Note I have my system split into two "zones," high and low pressure. High is controlled by pressure switch and low is regulated by the "mini" pressure regulator. Both sides have a safety popoff and gauge in the cab. I did this so I could fit more air in a tank of a given size without damaging the ARB. I didn't know at the time that ARB's can handle much more pressure reliably than the manual states.

I made the manifold out of hexagonal stock, and the York intake was originally plumbed to the smog pump connection on my stock F air intake.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Bailey is right. You can find pretty much everything you need other places for a better price. I wouldn't blame anyone for getting the stuff for the best price you can. I bought a lot of stuff from other places.

With that said, I bought several of the components for my system from Kilby to support a business that went through the trouble to post all the parts needed, sizes of fittings, with specific diagrams on how to plumb the system, etc. without requiring people to buy from them.

Just my opinion, but I try to support the places that provide good info. If I don't it may not be there for the next guy.

Here's a pic of my setups:
