Just bought another FJ62 (1 Viewer)

1988 and apparently this one originated from Costa Rica. It's been in Canada for a while and I just picked it up for my very own a couple of weeks ago. After a ton of work at 4Wheel Auto here she is.

Brand new ARB front bumper to replace the one that was stolen from the previous owner..

Great body but leaks a little oil. New 32" tires.

Rear gate pretty nice. I ordered some new struts for the back glass.

Driver side also pretty nice. I have to replace the door as the frame around the glass has rusted and separated.

The best part? Well, it's a 5-speed diesel, naturally

Sure it's not a BJ60? Look at the VIN.

Sliding windows, I think that's a good thing?

The engine is a 2H. Just wondering if it was swapped in. I'm not overly familiar with SA models, but if it's a square-headlight factory diesel, that's pretty interesting/cool.

At any rate, it's not an FJ62 (anymore?).

The VIN says its a FJ62, but it is a manual diesel so I assume a swap took place at some point.

Cool truck. Good to see it’s up to normal cruiser stuff and requires blue shop towels to keep the driveway nice

New wiper motor. New EDIC motor so it starts and shuts off like it is supposed to. New 6V glow plugs. The list goes on lol
