I'm still in for the driver side rear mirror per last night's PM

Just to clarify Pig head, I actually need the reflector housings more than the reflectors. Looks like the reflectores may be in bad shape. Of course i will take whatever is available on those if you can. Thanks and good luck. I wish there was fun s*** like that to do around here....

Today...

I was 4th in line at 0800 waiting for the 0900 door opening...that place is busy on weekends.
I started with the easy good stuff; front grill, door mirror, side vents, headlight rings. The stuff that comes off with a screwdriver...
Untied the ropes holding the doors closed and got the handcrank from under the rear seat. No toolbag or bottlejack.
Went through my list, got the headlight buckets & trim, the hi-low handle and various interior trim pieces.
Tackled the tailgate. It is very, very hard to dismantle a tailgate without 12 volts to move the window arms. I'm going to need a much bigger screwdriver to take the whole tailgate. I should have remembered that. Got the motor out, looked at the nylon gear...badly cracked. shoot. got the two side reflectors, the rear reflectors would be very hard to take off without a sawzall and are not in very good shape.

More today...

On the plus side, not much. It's a pretty rusted, thrashed Pig, with all kinds of redneck bodywork. front turn signal housings and bases are cracked. mounts are rusted pretty solid. got the lenses though. front door window rubber is either missing or rotten. I didn't get that much stuff, if you don't count the stuff in my pocketses, and it still cost me a hundred bucks.

On the other hand, the gauge cluster and glovebox door are in really good shape.

Looks like one end of the hi-low handle is broken off...
Tailgate handle looks pretty good, except for the sheetmetal screwhole in one end, which I have no idea why it was there.

Yes. Having loads of fun. The rearmost reflector housings are not that great, and a PIA to get to the back side of...

Nice haul.

Looks like you struck gold to me.

Tailgate window channels

Pighead, just saw this thread. Would the tailgate window channels fit my 78 and would they be available if good? After getting my window down and checking out my channels they are shot and don't know where to find any. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I would LOVE it if you could snag that upper-control panel section (the part with the Land Cruiser tag, window control, and pad). Any chance of that/does that make sense?

Just the LandCruiser tag with the two extra holes...dashpad too horrid.

the pull handle for hi-low, and like the guy above me, the dashpad if it isn't too horrid.

Pull handle with one end broken...

I'd be interested in the glove box door and the headlight buckets...

Got all the headlight surrounds, 3 pieces each side, just to be safe. best looking glove box door, aside from the handle, that I have seen in years.

That rear tailgate handle is looking really good from here:))

Except for the sheet metal screw...finally figgered that out. Threads are stripped on the passenger side, so the sheetmetal screw went through to hold it on...

I'd like that grille (w/ lights) and glovebox door.

I swapped my new one in for the old one (with the cracked/broken lens). Old one is now a spare and therefore, available.

I'm still in for the driver side rear mirror per last night's PM

Mirror glass has a crack, mirror mount has a small crack...

The glove box door looks decent! Has anyone spoken for it?
Is it hacked from that aftermarket knob?

Glovebox door is very nice, does not look hacked.

Only got the rear side reflectors. Rusty housings. Broken stud.

Nice haul.

Looks like you struck gold to me.

yes, gold. But I need to pass some of this stuff on to needy end-users.
Anybody still interested? PM me or it goes up in classified.

Really not that bad, many useable miles left, I've seen worse.
Pics of imperfections...
Thank you and enjoy.
