I installed the Goose Gear 3rd seat delete this weekend. The fridge slide will be later this week. Total install time was about an hour. Mixed with the Bison Gear shelf and the Kaon side molle panels, the organization in the back is as dialed as it's going to get.

Very clean! Making me want to lean more and more to losing the third row seats. Never really use them and all the gear I have on the rear quarter panel MOLLE's, I can't put the seats up anyways unless I take stuff off.

Thread hijack:

Has anyone come up with a creative way to utilize the space within the 3rd row cup holder area? I installed a power outlet to the left side area and found that there is just a big empty space under there. What's the best way to utilize this space? Cut them out or add a hatch in place of the cup holders?

Well, considering your from NC, you could stick a few bottles of white lightning in there and run moonshine!
(no offense intended...)

To go along with the Goose Gear platform I ordered the Solo XL Slide. It came in this week, so just before the hurricane hit, I put it in. The Dometic CFX50 fits great. The slide itself sits right up against the side on the platform so there is no wasted space. I got the slide with the table so I even have a little prep station, or a place to put everything I'm pulling out. So far, it locks into place nice and solid and isn't vibrating or noisy. The slide is very secure and not moving at all. I also got their tie down straps which were a little expensive for basic tie down straps, but everything else was Goose so I figured why not. I think with this, the storage for the rear is complete. I have a spot for everything I normally carry. If I was keeping the truck I would probably do the second row delete as well since no one ever sits back there, but I'm 98% sure I'll be stepping into a new LC in 2025.

Having that slide-out cutting board can be really handy on the first couple of days camping with a full fridge and you're having to dig at the bottom of the fridge for something. You have a place to stack the things at the top of the fridge as you dig.

Changed up the snorkel topper this weekend to a precleaner from Snorkel Upgrade. Time will tell if it was worth it, but with how sandy and dusty the trails can be around Florida I don't think it can hurt.

I also upgraded the bedding in the CVT Mt Hood medium. The factory bedding is just some 3 inch memory foam. While not bad, it's not great. In the colder weather I feels like it's sucking the heat right out of you, and I like to do most of my camping in the winter months in near freezing or freezing temps. I ordered a Exped Megamat Duo on a Labor Day sale hoping the measurements given were accurate and it would fit. Well, it's almost an exact replacement. It is maybe an inch or 2 short lengthwise, but side-to-side it fits perfect. It is an inflatable mattress with a foam topper and has an excellent R-value. I'm really looking forward to trying it at at Expo in a couple of weeks.

Lastly before hitting expo I wanted a small single burner stove. I've been looking for a while and this seemed like the best option with size, adjustability and price were concerned. I picked up a Jetboil Halfgen. I have other Jetboil products and they have always been excellent so I expect the same from this. We'll see in a couple of weeks.

Just out of curiosity, if you already have JetBoil, I assume it's one of the Fast Boil units? If so why not use their Pot Support considering you only needed a single burner?
I have one of there Fast Boil's along with a Pot Support as a backup to our Camp Chef Everest 2 burner stove.
Actually, I always keep that JetBoil in my rig along with a small bag of coffee/coco in case we're ever anyplace, spur of the moment remote and would like a hot cup of coffee/coco.

I use a Jetboil Luna attached to my HalfGen, so I can use my FastBoil pot for water off the same propane bottle as the Half Gen. Since my isobutane canister and burner fit in the FastBoil pot, I keep that in there in case I run out of propane. It’s not likely now that I have a 5# bottle, but if something happens I’ll still have coffee in the morning.

Whelp...I honestly didn't know that existed. I'm still happy with the Halfgen, but this would have accomplished almost the same thing for $10 lol.

I hit Overland Expo East a couple weekends ago, and while there I picked up the ARB single compressor and air line kit. I ordered the Slee mounting brackets from camp and they arrived a few days after I got home. I got around to installing everything this week. I watched a bunch of videos, and taped off everything I had to, cut wires down to length and bolted it all up. Nothing lol. I have power at the fuse, I have power back at the switch plug. I don't have power off the main red wire that goes into the pump though, so I'm pulling it all out this weekend to get a better look, and get everything running before re-installing it. What a pain. The hose kit won't be in until this weekend anyway (hopefully, it was supposed to be here last week, thanks OK4WD) so I'm not able to run it until that gets here. We'll see.

If anyone has wired one of these things up and has any incite, Id love to hear it. I'm just running it as a tire inflator for now, but will be hooking a rear locker into it this year.

Have you had a chance to "bench" run it just to ensure it does actually run?

I'm pulling it out this weekend to do just that. I honestly doubt myself more than I do ARB, but things happen. I'm yanking everything out and just testing it off the battery as soon as I have a couple hours to tinker.

So, I missed a wire. There was a switch bundle and I used all of those wires, but there was a loose wire not in the bundle that also needed to be hooked up. I'm assuming this wire goes to the relay for 12v. ARB customer care was awesome. I called them, told them where I had power on the bundle and where I didn't, and the guy hit the nail on the head with what I missed, all in 5 minutes. Can't ask for better help over the phone with wiring than that.

I liked the Goose Gear parts I had ordered so much, I got more. I still want to be able to seat four people, so I took out the 40% seat and put in the Goose Gear panel. It also allows me to stealth camp if needed. I have run into times while traveling where there is nowhere to actually camp and pulling into a Cracker Barrel and sleeping in the lot would have been nice.

The panel gained me a little shy of a foot of room with the seat removed, and provided a lockable storage area.

I also took a few guys up to Georgia and hit a new-to-me campground, which was amazing. Providence Canyon State Park in Lumpkin GA. It's the "Grand Canyon on the East" and was really cool.

I could use the goose gear thing on the 60 part of the 60/40 split. That one you've got looks good!

Assume the passenger seat is ALL they back?
Can you still recline the front passenger at all? Or do you need to scoot it forward to recline?
