How hard would it be to swap the old MAF back in and try it for a while...
Dont know about the exhaust leak, maybe could be an exhaust sensor.
Maybe I missed it, but have you tried disconnecting the battery? Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then reconnect. After a few drive cycles it should relearn your new configuration.Worth a try..
Not hard at all... 20 minutes if that.
You think the exhaust sensor coincidentally went bad at the same time? The only new variable is the new housing and new sensor.
I'm doing this now...I would go at it like this. Eliminate the last thing that was done before the problem started (MAF) in this case and see if the issue is still there. That should be the first step in diagnosing this.
New sensor installed by landtank. Also is the MAF sensor new or used?

Mike,
Did you swap the wiring in the MAF plug? When I did mine a few years ago, I had to swap a few wires around in the plug in order for the new MAF to work correctly as per Landtanks instruction sheet. If you did, check to make sure they are pushed in all the way, are secure in there and are actually making contact.
It sounds like the new sensor is faulty. You can swap it out with mine when I get back to town if you want to confirm.
