Hi all,

My 93 seems to have no power to the wheels if I put it in situations where the front wheels are up against a big rock, or log. If I put in a situation where there is pressure on the wheels I just rev to 2500 ish with no wheel spin at all. I’m running 34s with 4.88s. Is this normal? Normally I thought I would start spinning back tires at least

Was the CDL locked when you tried this? Possible cause would be worn drive flanges on the front wheels. You could have a buddy confirm this by popping the caps off the axles and looking to see if the axles are spinning.

I would expect this if your transfer case was in high range.
It would climb or spin tires in low range. That's what low range is for.

CDL was locked and I had both axles rebuilt 10 months ago

I forgot to mention after I winched out it seemed like low range was slipping gears for a little bit. I let the truck cool down for an hour then it was fine.

I even rock crawled up a steep mountain later and it was fine. It just did not like having wheels bound up at all
