Thanks, it wasn't that bad. The next steps are harder-Toybox and Lockers.
I've been driving it every day for the last week. No sketchy handling, good brakes, no vibes. I do take corners slowly.

I can change my mind, and I've had some problems contacting Marlin Crawler, but...
I'm pretty set on H41, Toybox, 4.11s, ARBs.
If I did not have the FJ62, I would certainly use the H55f, but the FJ62 with the H55f would just be the bomb, and since I own the H41 already, it seems like a waste to buy another H55f.
It's going to take awhile tho....
And BTW---It is significantly easier doing an FJ60 SOA than an FJ40. There is much, much less welding.

You'll love the Stupid Low(tm) on the Toybox in combination with the SOA, flexy and slow makes things a lot easier! 
The h41 will be sweet with the toybox and it seems like you won't need the 5th gear with the 4.11 and you will save a bit of drivetrain length. I can ask Marlin about the availability of the h41/h42 toybox, I am going to meet up with him tomorrow to pick up some parts.

That would be great. I know I want one and Chad (Ducks) also wants one. they were making some minor changes in the machine work-ask him about that too. I'll be ready to drop off a tranny at Marlins in early Jan.

I think they are waiting for the 19 spline input gear for the toybox on the h55f. I'll quiz him on the h42 availability, CJ down at MCI has been pretty good about stuff over the phone if you call them.

Rubicon Road Test
So I did a part of the Rubicon Trail this weekend, the part from Wentworth Springs, to Ellis Creek, then back through the granite bowl and alligator pit to Loon Lake.
I don't yet have adequate gearing, I don't have lockers and I don't have a winch on this truck. The set up is just the 5:1 low gear of the H55, stock transfer case, and 4.11 gearing.
The spring over just rocks. I had to be extremely careful working through a few sections, but the suspension was amazingly stable. I never got stuck, never had to be strapped or winched. No body damage. In short, a highly successful test run. With deeper gearing and lockers, and some armor this is going to be a fun truck.

Cruiserdrew, what tires are you running on your 60 now? Are you DD'ing it or what? I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy another set of BFG AT's or something else for my 60 once I finish my SOA.

I think I'm going to get some 36 swampers but have not completely decided. I may just get 37 MTRs since they run a bit small and have been a good tire for me.
How are the MTR's on the highway? Are they pretty quiet? How many miles are they good for?
