Is new hood required for 2F swap?

After being crazy busy and out of town last few weeks I was able to finally start up the pig a little while ago. Watching the Hagerty video last night it brought up the different hood on newer models to accommodate the 2F. Well that got me curious about the need to swap hoods from the 77 to my 69 which is going to get a 2f with holly sniper installed.

Any recommendations?

Not required if you keep the f155 air cleaner. My understanding on the hood scoop was it was to provide adequate air flow for the air cleaner on top of the carb. If you run the sniper with a generic round top air cleaner or better yet run the f155 air cleaner you'll be good.
