Is it me, or do some paint colors on 60s just do not look right?

FWIW, I find Spring Green OK for a 40, not OK for 60 series.

Like I said to each their own. No ones tastes are the same. I like the green for the vintage 40s. For a 60... not sure, but I would still give props to the person for pulling the trigger and not falling into the conformity line.

Beige is Best! or rather Desert Sands Beige that's spent 35 years aging in the harsh Aussie sun

I've had one other silver car and I didn't like it. But I like my rust showing, faded roof and dinged door Silver truck.

The very first Land Cruiser I ever owned was a blue 1983 BJ42 (I lived in Canada). I would not have picked any other color.
I then owned a red '82BJ42 and much later a FJcruiser in black (never black again)
back to a Silver FJ60. I liked the color, but silver is silver.. Kind of like black or white....vehicle just does not feel right.

I hunted down a FJ60 in Blue again 1986 this time. Ya the Tan is cool and looks great. Dark grey looks good as well.

Cheers! And that is a sweet looking pup in your DP! I have a Kelpie X GSD with a similar style of brow markings!

My favourite colour is whatever matches the environment it will be in so it disappears. So for me that will be camo green. The paint is already a respray of poor quality so a rattle can job will only be an improvement. And after I fix any body rust I'll then finish it off with deep maroon faux rust painted around the wheel wells and other prone areas -- just to dissuade potential thieves.

Of course if you have nice original paint -- that is the best, whatever colour it is.
