A few small details that might be of importance...

-if you are using a feet forward winch (i.e. Warn M10k, M12K), you'll go with the ARB over the Ironman.

Boy that little "tidbit" is something I hadn't considered.

I was planning on using a Warn M12000 winch with the Ironman bumper.

Thanks for the "Heads Up" Hoser...

Sure thing... And that info is regarding the. '03+ ARB combo bar. The 98-02 ARB has the feet down mounting plate. But we all know the 03'+ version will ARB fits all year LC/LX100's.

Nearly finished installing mine last night and am so far pleased with how it came out.

Still need to do some final adjustments, clean up the wiring, and take care of a few other small bits (like reinstalling the water pump for my Helton shower setup…you can see the hoses hanging down in this picture), but then it will be ready for prime time…which in this case means Death Valley in a week or so.

Nice!

OK. Almost done with the install. A few pics for those interested.

Coming home

Powder coated to match wheels and my Slee rear bumper

Why live with the included "fog" lights? Added an HID kit from TRS.

Had to find a way to keep the bulbs in place and went all ghetto on it…fingers crossed.

Not the best picture, but there's a ton of light coming out of those bulbs…and room for more!

Tried to get the gap right to avoid crunching my fenders. Took a bit of less than gentle coercing to get it right.

The finished product.

Can any if you with the Ironman bar throw a tape on it and tell me how much space there is to work with between the two uprights? I want to order an LED bar for my bumper with the deals going on today, but I won't be picking up my bumper until later this week.

Looks like 75cm between the uprights (inner edge).

Installed my new Ironman bar today. Pretty happy with it. Got a little beat up during shipping even with the two garbage bags worth of plastic wrap on it. The LX is replacing my expo Tacoma that got totaled.....wife says the LX finally looks like it's my truck. More to come!

I've been trying to buy a IronMan bumper and was just told they closed their doors in the US as of last Friday. Has anyone else heard this?

Andrew

Do the Ironman bumpers allow for vertical adjustment for body lifts?
I have a 1-3/4" (1.75") body lift. If not, for the people who have installed these bumpers, do the mounting brackets lend themselves to be modified to bring the bumper up that 1-3/4"?
I'm looking for front and rear bumpers. I have the skill and equipment but not the time to make my own, and I won't have the time for about another 3 years.

Yep... heard the news a few weeks ago and spent last week unsuccessfully trying to locate a lift / bullbar. :frown:

That surprises me because when I was at the SEMA show is Las Vegas last November (2013) they had a pretty big booth with lots of stuff featured. I talked with one Ironman guy who was very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. I'm sure that display cost a pretty penny and to close up shop so soon afterward seems illogical. But...stranger things have happened.

I'm bummed though because I was planning on buying one of those bumpers.
