Hi All. Long time Cruiser owner, first time joining up.
BFR-oI0jlXb

Here is my current 40. Hula Girl is a 69, she is replacing a long time 78 FJ40 I had fixed up and sold for way to much money ;). Hula Girl has had her frame scraped and painted, new wiring harness, upper engine rebuild, new brakes and rubber BFG AT 33x10.5. Just installed new upholstery from Specter (coral bench seats).

2017 is going to be body work and looking for an OEM soft top and bows. The top on Hula Girl will then get fixed up and go on my 1973 FJ40, Red.

I also just picked up a 91 fj80, just started on her.

Welcome!
Your 40 looks nice!
I would not be a Cruiser friend if I did not tell you to flip your Bezel!!
1969 is the best year!!!

The BEZEL!!!!!!!! Holy s*** if hear that one more time! haha. Anyway, yes, it will be dealt with this Spring when I start on the body. It was not a priority. To me at least.

Greg you are so helpful!!

@stock, love the truck! Where in Philadelphia do you live? I lived there for 14 years. One more thing...explain your pic, I'm intrigued! Did you just get done juggling them???

I live in Mt. Airy. The picture is from a medical building clean out project. I own Philadelphia Salvage, architectural and industrial salvage company.

Small world. I’ve been following Philadelphia Salvage on Facebook and have been meaning to get down there to check it out. I’m an architect in Harrisburg. Welcome!

New guy here. Been a Jeep guy all my life. Blasphemy, I know. But with life leaving less and less free time, I found myself at a crossroads. No time to work on a project truck all the time and go wheeling too. So I started researching SUV's a little over three years ago. My last Jeeps were of the full size variety, so I wanted something similar in size.

At first I looked hard at the Range Rover Discovery. I liked the fact they could be had with a 5 speed, V8, solid axle. But after looking at a dozen or so, and reading more into them, the more the Land Cruiser started showing up. My LC is the first and only one I have driven. It felt like a much more solid truck than the Disco's. Haven't regretted that purchase at all.

I still find time here and there to play around with it. Go to Rausch Creek and AAOA with my old Jeep crew. Looking forward to making new friends and hearing new ideas.

Only been to AAOA once. Found a few trails that were entertaining, and one that tried to swallow the Cruiser. Had to take the alternator apart once I got home to clean the grit out of the brushes. A FJ80 has just enough battery to make it the distance from AAOA to Quakertown on battery alone. The truck literally died as I pulled into the driveway.

And yes, it looks like Crusha and I will get along just fine :hillbilly:
