Todd here. Proud owner of a '92 that I'm currently figuring out how to solve my own self-inflicted headache.

CSC meets in Tempe - well that sounds grand. I work in Tempe, ASU grad (x2) and know the area well. If the monthly meet will actually happen this month, count me in.

Pretty new to 4-wheeling. Have already crawled up a few spots up on the Rim that made me darn happy I picked this rig up. Aside from my own mechanical naiveté, couldn't be happier!

Welcome Todd, the meeting is December 20th next to the Tempe Sonic.

Nice looking rig!

Thx guys, looking forward to meeting you on the 20th (it's on the calendar!).

Pic was taken in Prescott when I bought it earlier this year. Drove it from the bank straight to get some gas for my drive home to Gilbert.

Murf - got wind of who you are thru a buddy, will send you a PM. I already need some help :).

Hey guys, been on this forum for a year or so now, haven't done much posting and had no idea there was a section for AZ people. I live up in flagstaff, and have got a 74 40, with a top off a later year. It was my grandpa's hunting truck for a bunch of years, and I have lots of memories sitting in those rear jump seats, so when he called and said I could have it, I jumped at the opportunity.

Here is my wife and I up in the Cinders with it on its first trip after the motor swap and lift.

I've since gotten rid of that light-bar.

I didn't know if you guys were asking me or not, so I waited. Yes, my photo was taken in Sedona, Broken Arrow. It was my goal when we first moved back to az to get a truck that could do Sedona without any mods and the LC was the perfect truck. In fact, I haven't even come close to finding its limits but I'm getting closer to overcoming mine. I love my truck!

Newest new guy for now - 1Louder

Hello All,

My name is Chris I know Don (Puulboy), CFish, and probably some other folks from AZFJ but wanted to expand my trial running opportunities. I own a 2011 FJ Cruiser. Not a lot of modifications. OME Lift, Expeditioneers Skid Plates, CB Radio (Ham in future), RAM iPad Mount and a few other minor things. I love exploring the back roads of AZ. I have owned my FJ since April 2013 and I have been pretty active. I work a lot of weekends so any members that are looking to do weekday runs feel free to PM me.

For work I'm an airline pilot (Who cares but that's why I am gone lots of weekends)
I play guitar and drums (That should clue some in on the 1Louder name)
and I'm a generally nice guy! Ha TBD of course modesty is my best quality!!!

I am on vacation for the Feb. Meeting so if I am in town and not headed to some exoctic destination I will make that.

See you on the trail!
Chris (1Louder)

I am based in Houston and have been based in Ontario, Cleveland and Chicago up until Dec 2013. I am actively looking for a better flying gig.

Patagonia

Howdy,
My name is Geoff and I live way down in Patagonia.

I just had a '78 FJ40 kinda fall into my lap. My brother found it and felt it was too good to pass up and that it needed to belong to one of us. He is in the middle of a Volkswagen Syncro Doka restoration, so here I am.

I have all ways love the look of the 40 but never planed to have one, my 79 CJ was gonna last the rest of my life.

The Land Cruiser has always been an Arizona car. The body is rock solid. Unfortunately it received a marginal paint job somewhere along the way, but other than that it is all original. Oh there is a push button starter on the dash. :(

Anyway, I look forward to your advice here on line and maybe running into you out in the Coronado.

Ive seen a couple of nicely modified GX's in the last year. It would be nice to throw a GX into the mix here.

Can you tell us about your rig? Maybe a picture?
