Welcome Mike! Nice looking 80. How's the interior?
It is actually decent for being 28 years old. It has the usual cracked dash and torn seat but all in all, I'm pretty happy with it. I am slowing chasing down rattles and vibrations but its a work in progress....

Yes, it is decent. Just ran into some interior pictures on the internet.

Making my intro here:

My name is Jeff. I own a 1983 FJ60 that is crusty and rusty. My wife, Kaylee, and I both work for Peoria PD. In addition to that we own BlasterTactical.com. Looking to meet some LC friends and turn some wrenches.

If you're in the market for FFL items, hit us up and mention MUD.

1999 series 100. 35’s, 1 inch body lift, 2 inch suspension lift, dissent front bumper, coastal rear in the garage to be assembled, white bed liner finish, HED’s, offsets, solid fun vehicle. Winch next. How do I join “Copper state”? Looking to go exploring in retirement, and learn new stuff, and have fun. Buckeye is home.

Welcome!

Hi all, just joining. I'm located in Mesa/Tempe. I drive a '96 gulf spec 70 series that I plan to bring out to the next Copper state cruisers meet. Looking forward to meeting everyone
Can you tease with a photo.

Hey all. I'll be moving to Phoenix in June, but thought I would go ahead and introduce myself. Monthly meetings can be challenging, but I still try to be engaged in my local clubhouse. I currently live in Raleigh, but we lived in the valley for 6 years prior.

I've had A LOT of Toyota's, including 5 different Landcruisers. I'm currently refreshing a really nice 1989 FJ62. It's desmogged, has an H55F swap, OME lift, and sits on 33x10.50's. I've done a bunch of stuff since I've owned it, but it's most;y stuff no one will see, brakes, belts, cables, etc.

Looking forward to being a part of the community.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to stop in and say Hello! I’m new to the Land Cruiser world. I was able to get my hands on a 95 J78 Prado with the 1KZ-TE directly from Japan. I’m super stocked to begin my journey. I have so much to read and research! I’m up here in N. Phoenix. I’ve been lucky enough to have the coolest neighbor you may know T. - LongDuck to give me pointers and help me with my endless questions. I’m excited to get it out and on the road. Hope to meet you guys in the near future.

I've seen the above 78 several times now, and got a (*left seat passenger) ride in it last week. It's every bit as gorgeous as the pics posted! Welcome aboard, and hope to see you at the Fall CSC club meetings starting up again soon in Tempe,

Make sure to invest in a head gasket kit and a new cylinder head.

You’ll need it soon.

So... I introduced myself back in July 2023, life got in the way and I sorta forgot about CSC. BUT, I submitted my application and paid my dues last night! haha

Looking forward to being a part of the group! My 80 series is currently undergoing a little refresh. Hope to see you all soon!

@ADVFJ80, The best color of the best US Land Cruiser 👍!

Well...finally got rid of the 40 series, but am still in the TLC family. Traded the 40 for a 97 40th Anniversary Edition. My son will be driving this year, and I wanted something more reliable and a bit more safe w ABS and airbags, so I traded another MUD member from TX for it.

My boy and I will have time to fix some small things on it, and he'll start learning maintenance for it, so I'm pleased.

Great looking rig!

@Fergie , beautiful rig! Glad you were able to work the trade. It’s getting kinda crowded around here with Antique Sage 80’s😉!

I actually went back and found my original MUD posts on the 91 that I bought in San Pedro for $2500...back in 2009. Seems like ages ago as my daughter was 9 months old and my son didnt exist yet!

Glad to be back in an 80 and am looking forward to driving it around and giving the Tundy some time off.
