Hello folks. I picked up a 97 LX in December and have been working on it as I can. Rebuilt the front axles, new bearings with new calipers and breaks. did the oil cover gasket job, new radiator, fan clutch and water pump, PHH, power steering pump and gear, and still hunting down other little gremlins. Also just did an OME 2.5 medium lift from Slee. I have many questions and would like to pick your collective brains. If I read everything correctly you have a meeting coming up on the 15th, would that be correct? If so you mind a little white 80 joining you folks?

PLease do! There are alot of ideas and opinions from great folks at the meet. Alot of trial and error info on what works best or not so great.

Come on down. You'll fit right in. We have dozens of 80s in the club, and lots of them are white. John

Hello All, I've met many CSC members previously about a year ago at a meetup but first time posting. I live in the Chandler area, crusin a 96' LX450. Im installing 30mm spring spacers on top of J springs, slee caster plates, adj. panhards, adj. rear upper arms, and D.C. front driveshaft and all new OME poly bushings. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good alignment shop in the east valley who can do a correct alignment on a lifted cruiser? Figured I would check here before dealing with some high school kid at the local shop.

Once I get it all back together I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meet. Thanks

Hey Everyone, I'm part of the Wasatch Cruisers up in Salt Lake, but I just got transferred for work down to Tempe, look forward to getting to know all of you.

Also is there a particular 2 metre channel I could monitor for a possible conversation?

Cheers,

Kirk

WTF is your problem? I don't choose to use ham (often forced to when volunteering), those who do are welcome to, don't see regulating/forcing others who don't see the need or get enjoyment from them, to use them.

I don't have a problem with them at all, just choose not to use them, except when forced into it. Anyone who chooses that hobby is free to enjoy them.

Quote from you on another thread about HAM

Not something that I will support, but again, it's not about me, it's about the club and that looks like the direction the membership wants to go, so do it, don't need my blessing?

Yep, the discussion was about making them required equipment to go on CSC trail runs, something I don't support.

Making them as "required" equipment is something I wouldn't support either! But I still would love to see them utilized more by the club:meh:

I've been following since November 2012 and throw out the occasional post but haven't introduced myself... My name is Scott, I'm in far east Mesa and I own a 1993 Land Cruiser. Bought it wrecked from a salvage auction and got it back on the road with some help from Kevin. Hope to make it this months meet. Looking forward to wheeling with some good folks.

Welcome SX! I know it doesnt take much to "salvage" vehicles like ours (~20 years old). What was needed?

any pictures of the new ride?

I had started a build thread but haven't updated, nothing really big has happened since I got it on the road. I've added cup holders, a rear hatch light that matches the dome lights and upgraded speakers up front. All the things that drove me crazy in daily driving use.

I live about 5 minutes from bulldog canyon so I've been out there about 10 times in the past few month. Lots of driving, less fixing/finishing things... :steer: Next on my list of things to do are paint and armor. Planning 4x4 labs rear but everything else is still up in the air. I was going to Monstaliner but I'm having seconds thoughts...

Here is a link to what I've documented:
