Re:Seats

I would say that the controls are still there ...if you look at the side of the seat , there not form fitting ...it's kind-a like a moo-moo on a fat chick ...LOL

The rears are leather.........I can drive by and look if you need and take more pics....I live 5 minutes away.

Also I can pick them up if you need a place to store them or I can pack them and ship.....

Best,

Shane

That's weird, they're manual. You can see the manual recline adjustment on both and the forward/back lever on the DS. I would guess cloth recovers. Someone's also working on removing their wood trim.

I have a 94 with aftermarket leather and manual seats. There are others out there. Just not very many.

I have manual leathers in my 94.

From what I've been told here by people in the know, is that it was a port-installed option....ie...shipped over cloth, installed by regional port before delivery to dealer....

My 94 has brown instead of the normal tan you see in the factory equipped 96s and 97s. The brown is also carried out throughout the door panels as well, and the accent differs from the factory color as well.

After market.

LandCruisers did not ever have a port installed leather option. Dealers love to imply that they can put on a "factory leather" kit but there is/was no such thing. It's all aftermarket as Dan mentioned.

I guess maybe I'm applying the term aftermarket term a little too literally....

Mine were that way when the PO bought the Cruiser off of the lot.....or at least that was my understanding...

Lots of Cruisers in FL/AL/MS/GA/TX/MO/NC/SC and (?) were fitted with aftermarket leather, gold kits and such as the distributor from these states handles their own port operations and likes gimjaws and the profits they generate.

NC truck here....bought new in Boone...

Mine also came with the handy-dandy 24K gold kit and some pinstriping...

I guess that is what "gimjaws" are? Funky little profit generators?

Those are definitely the cloth manual seats recovered - they look the same as my cloth. Lots of dealers here send new vehicles off and have them trimmed in leather ...

It's a shame though - '96 cloth seats are pretty damn rare :frown:
