I don't want to push mud to FB. It is against what woody wants for his site. I would rather reference threads and encourage the FB group to get silver stars here and participate in both. If we harden an answer on FB, we can archive it here. If we answer a question here, we can reference it to FB. Seems like a more clean method. I am starting to post a weekly FB archive of GXOR for every comment in XLS format so people can search it.

I think the answer on GXOR is the same as it is on Mud. Just search. Issue is searching is not as easy on GXOR but frankly, once you learn, it's not really that different. Either way, if you don't find what your looking for just ask. Thats kinda how it goes.

Yeah, and with the new excel archive I am doing it should help.

Good call Dan. I wasn't suggesting so much as offering resources.

So far I'm getting better technical answers here and more GX porn on Facebook.

Interesting discussion on the merits of each format. Honestly since tapatalk went away I just don't find myself on forums a whole lot anymore, but I am on facebook. Searchability is better here for sure. I have done several how to write ups on the GX on my now outdated build thread since I learned so much reading here, but have been pretty shocked how little people view the writeups. I reference MUD everytime someone on GXOR asks a question I have done something on, but it gets lost in the noise pretty fast and honestly it doesn't inspire me to do many more writeups or take the time to photo doc processes.

I wish there were a better tool that served the needs of the masses, but maybe we just aren't there yet.

Post your write up in the files section of gxor

I am new to this vehicle but I have been participating in online automotive forums for about 15 years. This is the first time that I have found a Facebook group to be more informative and active than the forum. The Facebook group has tons on information that is not on here but I find it very difficult to navigate. I end up just scrolling and scrolling and clicking and clicking to see more and more comments to try and desperately find the one comment that had the information I needed when I could have just used the search function on a forum.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Is there a way to better utilize the Facebook groups information?

TLDR: GXOR FB is full of information that is hard to use. How could we change this or improve the forum to get that information here?
How do I get approved on the GXOR group on FB? I’m trying to help my dad fix his GX470 Rear Diff.

Is there a password? I’m keeping that section blank and still no luck

If you read the rules it is in there hidden.
