Damn! When I saw the title of this thread, I thought you were searching for Drexx's Ultimate 80 with portals and 37" Krawler.

I'd think that the ultimate 80 still has to have solid road manners. "Go anywhere" has to include highway.

I'd be inclined to vote for something that can do insane things offroad, but doesn't need a trailer to get home.

So....the ultimate LC would be STOCK LC.
I gues ,.....I won

Looks like I killed this thread for 5 months. Thanks for bringing it back to life....

Sorry for the very late response. :D

They are all the ultimate, some just more built up than other. Toyota gave us a great start i think

I have to agree with tech_dog it has to have "go anywhere" on and off-road. To give you an idea I'm going with this thread:

  1. 93 - 97 (sorry 3FE 4.0L engine) year models
  2. Still needs to resemble 80 series - aftermarket bumpers, sliders, snorkel, tires, lift and etc are ok. If the thing looks like a pickup truck - shouldn't meet the "ultimate" 80 series.
  3. Still can haul people like it was designed to do.
  4. Everything still works like it was designed to do.
  5. Ability to lock front, center, and rear.
  6. Reability
Basically, a 80 series where it can cruiser 85mph all day long hauling peope and gear - then take them to remote places off-road in all weather conditions in comfort.
