@Ali Ali Ali if you go back to your original thread about buying the blue rig, there was lots of good advice that you just waved off and didn't listen to, the same thing was happening here about this white rig. You finally got it and passed on it, which was very smart. not sure if anybody pointed out that it didn't have a heater so come winter time it would be rather chilly inside.
daily driving a B engine will not be great on the highway,

Well if you go to fj.co they go for 180k to 220k and those are perfect I am just saying I can't find a perfect fj for 16k

you can find a pretty good FJ for $16k! And you can get it with power steering, air conditioning, no carburetor problems, good heat, and plenty of people who can work on it if something goes wrong!

Hey thanks for the reply can you tell me what you mean "original thread about buying the blue one" I thought most people thought 10k was a great deal and I did good by not buying the rig from BAT

you did do good by not buying the one on BAT, can't say the same for the blue one, starts on page 2 or 3 in this thread:

the blue one is a painted rust bucket with different year parts on it, the inside rear should not be all diamond plate

Guys should buy this one. It's got a Chevy 350 I need daily driver!!

Tell me what you guys think..

Spend 5k and get a Camry or Corolla or some other beater for a daily driver. Especially if you don't work on it yourself, a 40 isn't a brilliant daily (And yes, I did it for a couple of years in a 6" lifted HJ47 on 35s)

Yea I am just looking to drive beater daily.

Hi, my name is Comet and I am a Land Cruiser junky (Hi Comet-from the collective that is MUD). I can’t get enough of Land Cruiser porn (actual thread on MUD that just shows pictures of Land Cruisers in their natural habitat) and just try to have a conversation with me where we don’t eventually talk shop.

Somewhere in my life a friend or my wife told me that I get fixated on things and just cant let them go. I don’t listen to perfectly good advice and throw more fire to the flame when confronted.

All of the @Ali Ali Ali threads have a common theme. Just observing from afar up to this point.

I have wanted a 40 series for decades. I kicked myself for not buying a perfect example twenty years ago when I was first married and couldn’t scrape two pennies together (we were broke but in love). It was freeborn red with 24,000 miles for $2500 cash. Oh if I only knew how it would haunt me. That cruel mistress slashes my resolve every time I see a 40 series. It had a bullet hole in the drivers side pillar-so damn cool!

Owning a 50 year old vehicle for daily driving sounds like a blast and an absolute ego boost, good on you for wanting to live the lifestyle. I applauded your enthusiasm and pinpoint laser focus on your final objective.

Slow down, stop heaving cash, research your options, determine your intended use of the asset (40 series), make a plan, stick to said plan, be patient as there will be set backs, and most of all-Enjoy the ride.

I have daily driven a Camry for years, now it is a 1st generation Tundra. My Land Cruisers are in disrepair because I can’t bring myself to turn the same bolts I have turned for years and I don’t trust technicians to do the work of mechanics.

Oh, and some or all of this may apply to your situation too.
