HZJ75 Aftermarket Seats

Has anyone here gone with aftermarket seats in their truck?

I just picked up a 75 dual cab, I'm THINKING I can get the Corbeau sport seats and a 6.5" Tuffy console in there. Wanted to see if anyone else on here has done anything similar in the past.

Not on a dual cab but these were in my old Troopy. I have a similar setup (different color) in a 77 series. Should be plenty of room for the console.

Was there any issues fitting the seats? Did you have the driver and small bench seats prior to the upgrade? Where did you get the seat brackets?

We removed the split bench from our Troopy and installed HZJ76 front seats. Took some work. We had to remove the sliders off of the split bench OEM seats and put them on the 76 seats as the floors are very different between the 2 trucks.....the 79 and the 75 mount to the floor in the rear where as the 76 had brackets on the floor that the seats mounted too. I think.....key word....79 4 doors have the same type setup as the 76.

@Bing173rd no issues fitting the seats at all. The original setup was 60/40 bench. The HZJ75 Troopy has the captive nuts for bucket seats in the floorboard but you have to drill for them. Sounds scaring considering the fuel tank is right beneath the seats, but if you line up the mounts its pretty simple. The seat brackets came from Planted.

I ended up ordering Corbeau bucket seats and a Tuffy 6.5" matching console (backordered, will get it in August). I'm expecting some fabrication, but it appears that it will all fit.

Now I just need to find something that looks halfway decent for the back bench.

Can you share some pics? Looking to do something similar on my BJ73 and am a bit concerned about how tall the corbeau sport seats are
