Yea but then that doubles my budget I wish 79 series would be the go

But you still have to find an 80 series and do the conversion.

Here is another idea, buy an 80 and turn it into a ute ;)

Looks like a early start on the rebuild since my ute now has a big hole threw the motor

What caused that?

70 km west of toowoomba qld Australia... I wish I was uppin her in a mud hole but sadly was sitin on 100kmh doin 2100 revs up the blacktop :,(

To anyone with a high km 1hz i would recommend to change the oil pressure valve ( just under oil filter) as that's what cause my motor to blow the oil out the side of motor. Good news is my ute will be running next weekend

So the engine was still good? Did you get any warning from your oil pressure gauge ,not they they are much good for that?

What should the oil pressure gauge read, mine is at the low end.

At idle or at 2500 rpm? Oil pressure is measured at about 2500,it should hold 39psi minimum for 2 minutes warmed up,but 50psi+ is desirable.

The gauge on the dash is usually around just below the middle mark at highway rpms

factory gauges are notorious for being s***.
people should really install an after market for comformation of factory readings.
5 psi at idle is acceptable (scary) by the book
35 psi at highway is acceptable (*i like it much higher*)

Hey everyone Still wating on some more parts hopefully will be up and running next weekend (: just been muckin round tidying her up and adding some spotties Led strip for interior light straightened mudguards and put some mudflaps on
