Hey everyone I'm building up my 92 diesel 75 progress will
Be slow for now, since I got it I've added a roof console(that I made myself), roof mount spotlight, 33" tyres, welded up a new battery box and a general tidy up, plans to add tri tanks (rear and mid mount) snorkel tri battery's, and I'm thinking putting the cab onto a 80 series chassis

Looking forward to the updates what are thinking of doing? Does she have much rust?

Only rust is in windscreen panel, plan is to do a ground up rebuild and I'm contemplating putting the cab onto a 80 series coil chassis, what's your thoughts on that?

Don't know about the chassis but you can get a fibreglass windscreen panel so it will never rust again.

So are doing the 80 chassis to get a smoother ride? Are you gonna keep the tray or go for a tub?

Also looking at a 98 model hzj75 for a parts ute it's local. has factory aircon, dual tanks, snorkel, a few panels are a bit better than Mine and it's cheap also has the interior bits I'm missing better seats than mine ect

There may be some differences, but if you're handy with a welder you should be OK. I put a 1991 cab on a 1998 chassis and had to move the fuel tank mounts.

Yea I couldn't find much on the 75 series- 80 chassis swap but that 79 is so clean gonna be smick

Might be a lot less work to sell your 75,buy a 79 series and add rear coils;)
