I haven’t had a front sway bar mounted in 10 years 🤪 but first thing I thought was it was on upside down.
Thanks Ya-all for confirming that !
As for the axle side mount there know to rip right off the axle !!
There are heavy duty replacements available or cut them off and make your own.

Also the drive shaft to sway bar contact is common and accentuated by the frame mounted control arm drop brackets.

Lol. I wondered about that, but with my engine swap, I'm pretty sure it won't clear my oil pan and driveshaft the other way. 🤣

I'll definitely try it one more time now that I have the spacers, but looking at this pic, I'm not confident

This is 90% daily driver truck. Which is why I'm trying to keep it.

I am not sure what engine you swapped in, but the sway bar fits the correct way on my LS swap.

I made my own mounts. I might be a little lower than most. LT, 6l90 and atlas. So, it's roughly the same length in total(rear shaft fits) but as you see, I have to run spacers on the front shaft. It's about 2" short.

2020 L96 /w 6L90e, and moved the original Toyota frame mounts forward 1.25" and to the passenger side 0.5". I might be a little higher due to the fact the frame rails are rising a little bit forward of the original mount location. I am using an extended length front drive shaft. 1" longer from memory.

Using 2" sway bar drop blocks as well.

I don't have a full photo of the front sway bar, which I will take later, but I don't recall clearance being an issue at all.

Excuse all the fluid film...

Looks your front driveshaft is backwards, which maybe on purpose?

I just took some additional pictures. Plenty of clearance for the sway bar if installed normally.

I do have a thinner, but heavier wall, front driveshaft than OEM, which helps with sway bar clearance.

Thanks for the tips. Certainly helps. No worries about the fluid film. I'm a believer in that type of stuff, though I use woolwax 👍

My driveshaft? It was nearly 2 years ago when I took everything apart. 🤪
I just assumed it was like the rear. Splines at the top. Seems like the way yours is, that water and grime can get into them easier.

Driveshaft backwards, sway bar upside down? Lol.

But without the spacers, the swaybar will not fit my rig the right way. I guess I flipped it and forgot and then never considered flipping it back. But, I put it in right, with my 1" spacers, and its not enough. 1-1/2 will work, so I'm gonna make some more.

And then on the axle end, yes, clearance is much better, but still not quite enough to clear the hyd assist rod.

So, i installed those spacers I showed earlier. Which raised that connection point 1-1/2. I did check at full compression, I still have clearance to the frame.

So, I'm 1.5 higher at the axle, and 1.5" lower at the rear. They say those spacers are mostly to maintain sway bar geometry. Is that right? Does it really make much of a difference?

I'm gonna work on some brackets to hold the front up when I disconnect them.

We've considered a new front shaft due to the length issue. Maybe if we get one made we'll make a change in tube size. But we already had the spacers.

Well spotted. The thinner end should be at the front, specifically for clearance to the sway bar
I still think it would be bad practice as far as contaminants into the splines is concerned.

Wait, just crawled back under, I'm wrong about mine.

looks like i can swap ends and the 1" spacers will work! 👍

No, not to do with sway bar geometry as far as I am aware. The spacers drop the sway bar down to prevent contact with the driveshaft when the passenger-side suspension is fully flexed. I don't think 1" drop down spacers are enough if you have a lift.

I bought both front and rear driveshafts from Tatton on Ebay for $550. My Toyota ones were shot, and I needed a longer front anyway.

I like the way your 6l90e transmission lines route to the passenger side. Do you like them and do you have GM part number? 😁

The hose that comes out of the very front of the steering box goes to the driver side of the ram. Based on the way you have the ram orientated.
The way I have my hoses there 41 & 42”
Thanks again for the hose information. Certainly helped in getting my hoses right 1st time.

I wanted to double check and get a baseline pressure reading, so that explains the temporary tee and extra hose.

1500 lbs. And it looks like my spacer and adjustments were pretty good. Stroke matched hard stops very closely.

With Hydro you don't need the steering stabilizer !

You could always paint the hydro ram yellow 🤪😂

Do you have plans for Wednesday at Cruise Moab ?
I didn’t register for any trails that day.
I want to see that 60/80 on the trail !!

Me too!

Dad is running the itinerary(he lived in spanish valley for 10yrs or so), but we didn't make "registration". Got put on the waiting list. Lol and we haven't signed up for any of the formal trail rides. We like some company on the trails, but being part of a 20 rig traffic jam isn't our idea of fun 🤪

That said, we should be in town sunday to get settled in. We might try to tag along on one of the overnight runs 1st of the week.
