Asking here as my trans has more in common with yours than an 80.

Is converter lock up a function of the vb or is it controlled elsewhere?

It’s hydraulic. There is no wiring on a A440f other then the position switch for Park/Nuetral start safety and reverse lights.

I know it's hydraulic.

I wasn't sure if the valve body controlled it or if there was a separate function within the trans.

I think after reading enough threads on the wat valve body, it's in the valve body.
