Really sorry, I'm praying for his speedy recovery.

Aww man! No good! Thinking good thoughts.

Warm thoughts

As a fellow dog owner, who's boy is going through cancer treatment right now, my warmest thoughts and hope go out for Husker. Give the boy a hug from my Stewie.

I will be thinking of you during this difficult time.

That sucks John. Warm wishes for a speedy recovery.

I hope things get better for Husker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any updates John?

Unfortunately, no improvement yet. We are all bracing for the big decision.

My niece went through this recently with her black lab, and the dog is fine now...don't do anything rash yet...prayers sent Brother...will get some info and PM ya!

Update..just got her on the phone. Dog wouldn't sit, jump, go up or down stairs...just stand and cry. Vet said it was a pinched nerve, doggy was on pain killers, and they're weening her off now. Don't want to give you false hope, but maybe a day or two may give him a chance to turn a corner.

best of luck to you and Husker..

We had to say goodby today.:frown:

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts.

Sorry my friend.:frown: The hardest parts about owning pets is when to say goodbye and when to open your heart to another. Been there done that, the later will happen and when it does, your world will be much brighter.

Feel for you Split! Its just a s*** time when our dogs aren't with us any longer...

Sorry.

I feel bad he didn't have a the time to relax after baby sitting Peanut for 5 weeks. She was on her way home 'bout the time he lost his legs. What a champ, put up with the little wench and loved everyone.

It is going to be tough to find another one to fill those "perfect dog" shoes.

It's hard to think about another "perfect pet" after losing a beloved pet. But it will happen. A doting owner and a good home go a long way to making it happen.

I went through the transition from gen 1 to gen 2 over the last two years. My old ones were irreplaceable. Gen 2 is different but every bit as special, and I can honestly say that they are an upgrade.

Give it time, it'll happen for you as well. Whatever pup you decide to adopt will be one lucky dog.
