How fast have you taken your fj40 up to?

86mph (139 km/h), stock suspension on 35's Bighorns, 2F , F&R vented disk brakes, usually go 65 mph though on freeway.

Had it up to 88 mph on the Gulf Freeway when I got it 30 years ago, generally don't exceed 63 anymore. No more than 45 mph with the windshield folded. Not that it won't, but I read a story here about a guy who had his glass flip up at speed.

What amazes me is that in double reduction in first gear I can get out and walk beside it.... not that it's a brilliant thing to do, but...

85KPH = 85 km/h = 52.8165513 mph

Fastest ive ever had my old girl up to; all the stars aligned etc... is 110 km/h = 68.3508311 mph but i dont think id ever do that again, i could see the fuel gauge moving!

99.9% of the time we do around 80km/h on the freeways - open roads.

I personally wouldnt take it over eighty five with a v8 just cause its not the most stable high speed vehicle. I dont think the 2f wil rev that high to get to 85

I drive my BJ at 85 quite often. You did mean Kilometers per hour ?

Had mine up to 89 mph yesterday. I usually cruise around 70 mph on the freeway. Obviously I'm not running a stock motor or transmission.
