Hi Guys,

My beloved 2 year old honda Self propelled rear bagger, I think has a bent crank shaft and I need some help.

What happened: Ran over some remnants of some roots and stalled the mower twice about 2 weeks ago.:mad::mad:
Was concerned, but it still ran fine without problems.

Yesterday, I went to start the mower and could not get the pull cord to budge. Nothing blocking the blade, check oil, good, ugh......
Spent half the afternoon screwing with my old snapper and gave up and borrowed my neighbors toro mower.

So I get done and try one more time with my mower and it starts, and runs, but it sounds like a dead cat wailing....
So, I think I bent the crankshaft.
Now what do I do.... buy a new engine and rebuild mine in my spare time (non-existent) for now or take it to the honda dealer and bend over,.....
I am leaning to taking it over to the dealer and let them deal with it.
Thoughts? How hard to rebuild if I decided to consider vs. repair vs buy new....

I also have a Honda self-propelled, rear bagger. I started to buy the commercial version but didn't because the warranty was much shorter. I can't recall the length on the warranty but I thought it was longer than a year.

Warranty wouldn't cover damage from neglect. Parts are pretty spendy for Hondas, you could save yourself some labor with the dealer by taking the engine off the deck and dropping that off for an estimate.

Well an update.... I took it to the dealer to get a repair estimate and got a pleasant surprise.... Bent blade and shaft was not bent. $40 repair and I am good to finish the annual leaf roundup:)
