it's too bad that this event is too early in the year for the black bear backwards event...would be awesome to see a bunch of pigs going up black bear. although the evil anti ohv san miguel county may not allow the event to happen again anyways
I do not know of this event! I am glad we settled on these dates when we did. Now July is booked...
on any mountain trail, you want good brakes to be able to stop or slow down. on one with a shelf, it becomes a bit more important
used to be run by the telluride rotary club. when they didn't want to deal with it anymore, wild bunch 4x4 club took it over and the event grew. now, sadly, due to anti ohv attitudes, it may not happen again

we're still working on it. wild bunch has gotten the coa4wdci involved (which means me ). we're not completely dead in the water, but so far, they don't want to give out permits for it anymore. they are very anti ohv as are a lot of folks in telluride, including their dick sheriff. wild bunch is trying to get in touch with a local land use group in telluride, we're also considering getting with a local restaurant to host a bbq and basing the event out of telluride this year to show we spend money there 'cause money usually talks

the sheriff would love to close it permanently, but no, the issue right now is just with the black bear backwards event
