I’m Lizzie. I’ve had my 100 series for about 12 years and I adore her. Looking to transition her to camping mode for me, my husband, and the dogs. Thanks for all you share here. :) Nice to meet you all!

Good morning & welcome to MUD.

When you write "camping mode " what do you have in mind?

Do a search in the 100 Series section on sleeping platforms and drawer systems - lots of ideas for storage of gear, etc. Removing the third row seats opens up more room. Removing the second row seats opens up even more room.

I use my '99 UZJ100 for exploring the Southwest desert region. It is totally stock looking on the exterior to the casual observer but has upgrades (skid plates, recovery points) while all gear is kept stowed inside, out of sight of thieves. I have a simple home made sleeping platform with storage underneath, 12 volt refrigerator, etc.

Welcome. I'd suggest browsing through the FAQ and the photos thread in the stickies, lots of great ideas.
Thanks! Already on that. Loving this!!!

Welcome! These rigs do camping mode exceptionally well! (Well other than how thirsty they get)
Yup. She’s got a drinking habit for sure! I’ve camped WITH her but not using her as a camper so super excited to get started with that!

Exactly what I want to do! Love that! Do you love it?

12 years?!? Wow. Good for you. A seasoned veteran.

Tons of good info on here to keep her in tip top shape indefinitely. Lots of options to outfit the 100 into a great stealth camper.

If you're looking for an adventure ready, integrated, convertible sleeper, give us a look:

Yeah! That’s gorgeous. Probably out of my league price-wise, but just beautiful. I may try to hack something together. I used to have a Rialta camper and I’m used to making every centimeter count, now it’s like next-level. :)

Welcome to mud, let’s see some photos of your cruiser

It’s been a busy 12 years with 2 kids + 2 step kids, old dogs, new kittens & puppies, 3 moves, 3 kids learning to drive, 3 kids moving to college, and a zillion camping trips. I didn’t take nearly enough pics of my car, lol. Here are a few. :) 2005 LC 💕

Welcome!

@Lizzie108 a second on the official MUD welcome :flipoff2:! Definitely lots a great ideas here. Also doesn't hurt to check out Expedition Journal. And yes while there it may seem like overland central, still a lot of great proven ideas.

Thanks @Land Shark! I've been scouring all the forums. Such overland deliciousness! Seriously love it. And hoping I can finally resolve my dripping passenger footwell issue (I found a ton of resources on that last night. Yay!) Thanks for the welcome! :)
