I guess I am going to order the HFS Extreme 4" Lift with 1.5' extended shackles any thing else Ishould need except possibly brake lines. The kit looks pretty complete.

I no expierence myself with these kits, two people I know have the kit and complained about them bottoming out in one case very easily.

The second guy purchased just a set of rear leafs that were sitting lower than his worn out original springs. He had to pull them out and have a spring company to get them up to the proper ride height.

Thanks for the input it was my 1st reply I just read the article in TT and it sounded like a good system. I think I had better do some research before ordering

I have heard more good reports than bad, and your gonna find someone who will say bad things about any system, as they all get egg on their faces from time to time. Bds, Alcan, and HFS have been the top ones ive heard of, with Alcan seeming to be the top of the heap. I will put HFS on mine. Or maybe bds.

I wrote the TT article and another member in LSLC has the 4" lift. We both like it and have not experienced any bottoming out. Rides great and the flex is amazing. I went ahead and added greasable spring pins to complement the shackles. I also added SS brake lines but my rubber ones were cracking anyway. I would be interested in knowing if those with the bottoming out problem had the 4" extreme or the <4" HFS lift, I think those are softer.

im with green, have heard lots of good things and looking into the hfs myself

I got the 2.5" lift hfs and the fronts are hitting the bump stops after 4 mths with hardly any abuse to them. I've had them for 4 mths and am not impressed

in the process of taking pictures to soo what CCOT will do will keep you guys updated as to their service

I am also curious. I was thinking Alcan, but the original response on HFS seemed pretty good.

took pictures and sent them to hfs andy they basicly said and emailed me a link that said warrenty did not cover saging. im in guatamala now and am a little pissed as they are sagging so that my shocks bottom out before the leaf springs hit the bump stops. as far as im concerend ccot game me no customer service sold me a bumb product and said oh well when I complained.

I know that you posted this back in 2005, but how did the 4" HFS plus the 1.5" longer shacke combination turn out? I'm planning to do the same to my rig! do you have any pictures? Thanks
