Beautiful Saturday and I actually got some work done on our own truck. Color sanded to 1200 and 2000 and first cut. Final cut and buff to go.

Polished out the left side today. A few spots need a bit more attention, about 90%

Back to Leon. All jambs, inner doors, gate and hatch, inside doors all stripped to metal, prepped and being sprayed with epoxy primer
Lots of exposed metal inside a 60. More when you dump the plastic in the back and the wrap over door cards.

3 coats epoxy primer on everything except inside the body

Medium Bronze Metallic PC. 17" FJ Cruiser steelie, 6 Chevy hub cap clips re bent to work, OEM Toyota hub caps. Going on Tex, 60 body on 80 roller

Got all the inside metal all sanded out and primed with epoxy primer. All metal is now primed out with 3 coats of epoxy primer.
It never ceases to amaze me how much total work is involved in prepping out a vehicle for paint.
For those of you who are curious, the area of an FJ60 roof is 1.7 acres (when sanding the damn thing)

Every square inch gets sanded out lightly at 320 and then gets shot with 3 coats of build primer. You guessed it, it then gets sanded out AGAIN and AGAIN!!

I feel your pain, ask me how I know ! There's so many edges on a 60 it's not funny, SO much scuffing by hand !!

Fast forward................ got a couple trucks wrapped up and out the door and got back to painting Leon. I had to wait over a week for another day with humidity low enough to spray clear
