Intrigued by said hatchamole....

So you blended the peppers into the guac ? Roasted first?

Made a quick run home to check on the place and harvested whats left of the garden. Made for a nice pico ..... and a lot of it. Thinking i may have to mimic your tacos here for pops tonight.

It was actually a grocery store blend, but I always toss in some chopped roasted peppers into the mix when I make it. Way better filler than tomatoes.

What's a Labor Day without cooking something on the grill. Bacon wrapped Filet it is.

Kinda weak for cooking but finally back at my place and just finished up a batch of habanero jelly from all the 'yet to ripen' peppers left in the garden. Been a weird year for peppers here. The orange guy above in salsa has been the only one to ripen on the vine.

Cant wait for vidalia, bacon, brie, 'banero burgers!

Nice often wondered about those. Could you put a 5 to 6 lb pork butt on it?

Pretty sure you could get a full (~8 lb) butt on there...the grate is 13”. What I’m not sure about, though, is whether it’ll hold enough charcoal to cook for 10+ hours. Gonna have to do some testing.

And fermenting the last of the habaneros tonight with shallots n garlic to try with a sweet potato base in a couple weeks when they are done bubbling.

haven't looked at this thread in a while. looks of good stuff up in here....

Been meaning to post this:

You wouldn't think there would really be anything worthwhile with this simple recipe, but don't kid yourself. I've made this several times over the years, and it's REALLY good! I can make myself sick eating so much of it......Simple also. @Billpayer made it the other night, and he wholeheartedly agreed
