I cant believe you cant put a price on this by your self........Only you know what you have into it and what you want out of it....Id say....15,000. 12,000 bottom

Thank you. Just looking for opinions from educated and passionate Land Cruiser people.

Clint during the frame off I bought a set of 60 series axles. Rear full floater with disks and an ARB with 5.29 gears. The front had a truss, hydro steering disks 5.29's and an ARB as well. In deciding what to regear her to we chose 4.56. We did the rear first to see how she'd drive. I never got around to the front.

For those who are saying $12-15K, please post up something similar in that price range. Not gonna find it.

That truck is worth 20k. This is one of the first SOA 60's I found when I started out a bunch of years ago and it is still an amazing rig. You should keep it, but if you decide to sell, start at 20k.

That being said, you'll never get for it what you've put into it.

Yes, R&P's need to match.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I would say 15K, especially since the R&P don't match and most people don't know how to setup gears, making that an expensive service on the front.

Why are you selling?

Depends on how bad how much you need the money. One theory (Hemmings) is to list it at a high price knowing you can always come down. Having all the receipts is a plus.

CraigsList is a PITA: be prepared to be asked the stupidest questions you could never think of. And have people who "have the money" never show up. For even small things it takes 10-12 emails back & forth to sell something.

Your best bet is word of mouth & the Classifieds here. Put the prices of all the mods in, separating parts & labor (hours if they're your own). And get that front R&P changed even if you have to take out a payday loan: no one will buy it if they can't drive it.

And when someone shows up who "has the money", you go with them on the test drive & drive it 1st: take it out of where you parked it & show them everything. Remember what a realtor friend of mine once told me: "Buyers are liars". Get (I mean physically hold & keep) their driver's license - tell them you had a car stolen on a test drive once. They're going to lie to you so you might as well do the same. Work out a bill of sale with a NON REFUNDABLE deposit with a time line stating when they'll come up with cash or a cashier's check & you produce a clear title.

Sorry to hijack what you asked for but you need to be thinking beyond the ad.

BTW if this were 6 years ago before I bought my '84 & had a Vortec & 4L60E put in it I would have jumped all over it!

With so many folks out of work, I'd say $10k. But it's really not worth selling unless your dying or something. You'll never find a rig like that in the future. If I were making better money, I'd fly up there with $12K. in a NY minute.

So, why are you selling it?

Im selling it. Like so many other people Im unemployed. Ive had it a long time and Im just not using it. I also have this long wheelbase Samurai that's alos diesel powered. Its my off road rig.

Thank you. It's got all the running gear from a one ton Toyota truck. a 2.4 liter 2L. Its a torque tractor! LOL.

I'd advertise here at MUD, on SOR's website and perhaps Ebay. SOA might limit the number of potential buyers. If you really need to sell, don't start too high. 12-15K, maybe?

"THOSE" would be me!
I will agree its a 20 k rig!!!....however, he'll never get what he has into it.
I have $5000 just in my axles alone.....however, my rig would sell right now for 8k!
The market is not that great for 60 series right now. It will prevail soon though.
Im not disagreeing with you all...:D
