Most of the pics have dropped off, can you guys repost some, close-ups of installed wings?

Thanks

How would these work with the factory tire carrier?

Not sure why they aren't working. They're all still in the same spot. I'll try to get some additional pics up tonight. I'll see if Hefty has any additional pics from other customers too.

How would these work with the factory tire carrier?

No interference.

My wings arrived at my shop in Orlando last month, but I've been home in NYC and didn't see them until last week

They're definitely HEFTY :)

I had them build the tire carrier on the driver's side and a bare swing out on the passenger side because I plan on welding up my own beer cooler carrier :grinpimp:

Chris is sending me a free gusset support with "HF" logo for the passenger side, so I'll be putting off the build until it arrives....

I absolutely love these wings :)

Excellent design and extremely well built

The install went smoothly with the exception of a bolt I snapped in one of the captive nuts years ago :o

Drilling didn't pan out, so I ended up removing the nut with an air chisel and used a standard nut and washer :meh:

There were only a couple minor issues....

1) The wings aren't built around the OEM tow loops, so I had to relocate them further forward on the frame....

2) Unlike Ardent's tire carrier, mine has a fixed mounting plate that is not adjustable :hhmm:

I have no problem with this as the fit is perfect for my 33" tire, but those running larger meat might want to go with the adjustable style mounting plate or let Chris know what size you're running when placing your order

NIce write up and pics.. thanks for sharing..Do you think that the wing gussets are sufficient to hold up under the weight of the cruiser?

Regarding the adjustability- Chris started asking the Backspacing and tire size to build it specific for the tire. The adjustable carrier is still available, but it is a source of minor rattle.

They look really good with the liner!

Hey Nate,

Could you remind Chris about the gusset plate?

I tried emailing him twice today, but they both got bounced back for some reason

He sent it out yesterday. He's been having some issues with his email box and he's working on that as well.

I would buy a pair of these instead of a bumper except for the fact that I need to tow and a full bumper like a 4x4 labs will provide with me a receiver for that. If I have to flip and cut the stock receiver then I might as well come up with my own wings also.

I guess I missed the part about flipping and cutting the stock reciever. Where did you read that?

I am interested in these wings as well but need my stock reciever for towing as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by flipping and cutting the stock receiver, but these wings will work with the factory hitch assembly

I don't see the wings listed on their website anymore for sale. Are they still being offered?
