also run carpet from checker. just used some vinyl floor glue and it hasnt sagged yet, that was about 4 years ago.

works like a charm
 
Maybe this is only a problem if you're rehanging old headliners with broke-ass foam, but the spray glue has never worked well for me.

Liquid Nails, on the other hand, spread thin, worked GREAT - that thing is NEVER comin off!
 
You can find a nice replica of the original headliner, already sewn, on ebay. guys' out of OKC. I paid around 60 bucks seems like. Easier to install if you put your cap upside down and use a small roller. I used 3m adhesive which is specifically for headliners. It's perforated white vinyl with foam backing like oem. Sand all the original foam and adhesive off first. Time consuming, but not difficult.
