I’ve had both generations of Hikaris. No AFS issues.

I didn't get a chance to pull the headlights last night and check anything. I pulled one this morning before heading to the office to grab the OAL and found the following below. Does anyone have the dimensions of the headlight at both angles of the AFS?
I am wondering if the AFS tries to move the light bulb Left or Right and the fan cover of the LED is bottoming out on the dust covers causing it not to move? I will pull the dust covers tonight and see if I can cycle L or R. I am hoping that it was the harness sitting against it when I tucked everything into the housing.

@EJC, do you have the OAL of the previous revision you're running?

The harness is stuffed into the bottom of the headlight cavity behind the dust cap.

I also have Hikari high beams which killed my DRLs but otherwise do not have any issues.

Does anyone have a picture of the cutoff line of the H11 and HB3's? Is there an orientation (upside down / right side up)? The locking cam only goes in one direction but my high beams had a rotating cam...

Well, I reached out to Hikari via Amazon and the response was not what I expected...They told me "Most Lexus vehicles can only use the original factory bulbs, but not the aftermarket LED bulbs." and to return them if they do not work.

Can anyone confirm that the AFS levels and turns as they should? I moved the motors once I set the LED Driver and Harness into the housings and everything seemed fine. I turned on the lights before putting the dust caps on and didn't see them raise or lower (or center themselves). What am I doing wrong here?

Are we saying that AFS is working as it should because the light isn't coming on meaning no error, or are the lights actually turning? It was difficult to see if they were moving while I was driving (compared to the OE bulbs that I had, they are easy to see when they move).

I can confirm with my Hikari's that my AFS does work. I can see the lights adjust when I turn it on in my garage and also when turning at night.

Which version do you have?

I have the Philips Hikaris and never had a problem with the AFS. Just make sure movement of the system won't be impeded when you install the new leds. Make sure the ballasts are tucked out of the way and the wires going into the back of the leds have freedom of movement.

The Philips Hikaris.... they say Eye of Megatron on them. I bought and installed them probably last November in case there's been any changes to them since then.

I just ordered a set of the Phillips for high and low beams off of Amazon. I'll install this weekend and let everyone know if I have AFS errors.

Update:
Drove the LX last night (in the dark) and the AFS worked fine on start up and I'm assuming they worked after that. It was difficult to distinguish the movement of them while driving and turning but the assumption is that they work since the start up alignment worked.

Going to run this setup for a few weeks and may end up returning the low's I have for the Phillips version. I'd go Philliips version in the Lows and Fogs.

I just installed the new Hikari Phillips bulbs, don't seem to have any issues with AFS. You can clearly tuck all of the wiring down into the housing well below the swiveling part for AFS.

I do need to adjust, anyone know the size of the allen head needed for the adjustment mechanism? I don't have anything that big. 8mm? 10mm?

Sure is a pain on the driver side, even with the battery moved a bit.

I have the Phillips version (I think), bought Black Friday last year. AFS still works awesome and the lights are very bright. Great mod!

I have the eye of Megatron as well. AFS works but they will die after a year, and they send you new ones. Only buy these if you're ok replacing them every 18 months or so..

I'm done the Hikari Phillip H11 in the low beam and it is working fine in my 2010 LX - a few key notes, when I first installed them I just kinda stuffed the extra cabling in, and that caused interference with the AFS (errors thrown and self disabled). I then took it apart and made sure that the extra cabling was hanging down into the bottom of the headlight cavity and after that the AFS worked fine.

My question is around the high-beams and fog lights...what's the consensus here? I've seen some complaints around DRL not working any more, some complaints about color temperature and CRI....looking for best/brightest/longest image (that isn't 'yellow')

I had the ‘flashing’ drl. They looked like a strobe. They might work now, I’m running a diode on my
alternator and have another 1/2 volt on the system. Probably enough to get over the high beams diode’s low point. Wasn’t that big a deal to me for high beams, it was the low beams I had an issue with. Philips lows are the ticket.
