Where did you get that? I need one!

It is a 2016+ VDJ7x series, DPF (diesel particulate filter) hood. Front to rear dimensions are within 1”. Side to side the 80 is 3” wider. I will be grafting the 79 hood to the 80 hood.

Oh ya! All I need now for an engine rebuild is those bling conrods!

LHS inner rocker is in, it is a lot of work to rebuild rockers like this. Happy to be done with that soon.

We will be using some of the inner hood structure to do this as well.

I still say, with all that work, its a missed opportunity to go RHS rocker and sliders.

Where you're at there is about the dance as what i did unstitching rockers on my 105 series. Then welded in rhs at the bottom pinch weld, where all the pillar structure met the RHS, and at the upper/inner rocker and door jambs.

Rock solid when done. Loads of ckearance under a low rig.
Not sure if I'd go to that much work again though.

That hood is going to be sweet. I wanted to do the same with my chopped 80 project. . .but first I need it to run.
