Dissent, are you sure about the bolt threads? I would have thought the Cruiser would have a metric bolt. I am looking for a eye loop bolt or eye nut. The eye nuts are approximately $7 to $8 a piece at McMaster Carr.

It's 7/16-20. Dissent is correct.

A little something I'm working on ;)

I wanted an eye hole of at least 1" to accommodate my 1" tree straps. The McMaster Carr eye bolts were perfect. I just hope they arrive before next Friday.

Those are interesting. Seems like you could use them and still keep the seat belts if you cut a hole in the seat belt cover. I might try it with the third row.

You could definitely keep the seat belts using this bolt. I just replaced it and it's definitely the right size. Accepts a large carabiner which I use on the end of my 1" nylon straps. I picked it up at the local speed shop as a kit with nuts and huge fender bolts. It's Grade 8 and about the same length as bolt I pulled out. I don't have to tighten it all the way for tie down and out use unless I was replacing the seat belt too.

Cool. Thank you for the side by side pic.

Wish you found it on amazon. I prefer click and order to sourcing a rare piece of hardware like that locally.

Much appreciated links.

I went to Kern River to camp for a night. Put the new mod to good use.

The description on Amazon looks wrong, because they call them 5/8" rings. I figured I'd buy one based on Dissent's post (and it being the same part number retrofive located on the RaceQuip site. It turns out the Amazon link is a usable part. The hole in the ring is 5/8", but the threaded bolt is 7/16"x20 (as Dissent said and others confirmed is the correct bolt pattern for the seat belts). As shown in Dissent's pictures, the eye fits a climbing carabiner.

I ordered one through amazon myself matching that description. Only problem is they are priced each whereas the ones from the local speed shop came in pairs.

Perhaps I should check the local speed shop for pricing. Two for the price sounds better than "each". I think I'm going to get carried away with these rings. I plan to replace the top bolt from the 3rd row seats with the short rings. I cut a hole through the plastic panel in back to replace the bolt that held in the rear seat belt retractor. I may do the same with the second seat seatbelts, except keeping the seatbelts and retractors, and just using these rings in place of the factory bolts.

I like the idea of using the retractor locations for another set. Thanks for making me spend another $10.

Great video demo. I've got the side zip model without the bottom entrance which lets me flip back the mosquito netting to sleep under the stars.

Wow I like that Hennessy super shelter, makes packing up easy breezy.
I picked up this Clark Jungle NX 250 last year brand new, but haven't had a chance to use it at all...
