I have two laptops with Win 11 Pro running Techstream (long story on why two); bare metal, no VM. The Dell laptop is using SW obtained on eBay. The HP laptop is running SW I obtained from where I bought the VCX Nano reader online. There both v18 but installation was different for each.@prharper what machine / processor architecture are you running the techstream VM on? Or are you running it on bare metal? I'd love to install it on bare metal but I can't find an installer and crack for a recent version anywhere. The VM posted here on ih8mud is not a solution for me unfortunately, wont even start on my AMD laptop.
I actually moved to near Brisbane now, its got a few interesting spots, but they are all more spread out. I miss the mountains near melbourne!
Looks like you can, don't know if anyone tried it thoughCan anyone confirm they’ve used it to program key fob/cards on their LX? Can we see occupied free key slots?
The service functions look like were you do bleeding, key programming and TPMS stuff, but I didn't dig past those initial menus. @Boston Mangler goes through some of this above
I've tried it. It will show you how many slots you have used and available. I could not get it to program the key fob though. It tried to do it automatically with no luck and I could not find a place to put in the PIN that came with the fob. While in the system, it looks like you can program them but it just didn't work for me. I tried on my wife's 2017 GX and my 2013 LX.Can anyone confirm they’ve used it to program key fob/cards on their LX? Can we see occupied free key slots?
Thanks for the feedback! In my situation, I have 2 working fobs on my (new to me) 2015 LX but the card key doesn't want to work. I've researched and it seems to be the correct FCCID (HYQ14ABB) and all but even with trying 2x fresh batteries, no joy. I might still grab one of these to see if one of the slots is at least occupied by the keycard.I've tried it. It will show you how many slots you have used and available. I'll take a stab at getting the AMD laptop going in a bit. Do you think you might be able to DM me the installers so I could try to use what you have? Thanks for sharing, its encouraging to know some people have it running bare metal, I bet the performance is much better than the M2 image.I have two laptops with Win 11 Pro running Techstream (long story on why two); bare metal, no VM. You can probably just drive up to your favorite tire shop and ask them to read them for you for free. Then just write the codes down or take a screenshot of their reader.TPMS relevant info

I don't have the ID codes on my 2nd hand wheels so I guess I'm looking at a few more months of 'checking' on my dash readout.
I used mine to program a key fob I bought off of eBay for 40 bucks. Worked fine. Can anyone confirm they’ve used it to program key fob/cards on their LX? Can we see occupied free key slots?

Which menu/setting did you choose? Did you have to deal with the immobilizer PIN like the later cars?I used mine to program a key fob I bought off of eBay for 40 bucks. Worked fine.
Followed the video in post #83Which menu/setting did you choose? Did you have to deal with the immobilizer PIN like the later cars?
Well this makes me think this thing could read them as well, it might just be buried in some other menu. You can probably just drive up to your favorite tire shop and ask them to read them for you for free. Then just write the codes down or take a screenshot of their reader.
You can probably read codes that are already programmed into your system (like techstream), but I am pretty sure you can't read a set that isn't programmed to the vehicle already. Hope that makes sense.Well this makes me think this thing could read them as well, it might just be buried in some other menu.
That sounds like a major safety issue for the dealer, so no they won't (or probably can't) disable that ding. Can this thing disable the "door open while moving" chime? So I can drive around with a Christmas tree sticking out the back, or swoop in and pick up the kids from school without coming to a stop?
I asked the dealer to do it when they disabled my seat belt chime but they said it was not possible.
I am failing on the last step of the key fob registration:
Recognized existing key, move to next step
Recognized new key, move to next step
Per directions, set key (I assume new, tried both) to passenger seat.
Fails at this step every time.

The one thing I can't find to confirm is the "Smart Cancel is Off". No idea if this is a setting in the menus or what. I attempted with IG off, in ACC, and ON... all had same behavior. I even put a fresh battery in the unprogrammed key and I cleared all keys except master (I am not the original owner and 3 keys were registered).
This is on an '08 by the way.
Any ideas folks?
Following up on this for others… if you buy an eBay fob like I did, make sure you get the codes from the original fob and the chip inside. The seller I bought from actually double checked I was buying the right one luckily.I had the wrong key fob. Got the right one for my truck from the dealer, who is 25% off right now, for ~150 and it programmed first try!
